Alastair Hunting joined us in May 2016. He comes with a background in street ministry and chaplaincy. He graduated from the Vancouver School of Theology (M.Div), was ordained as a deacon in June 2016 and ordained to the priesthood in June 2017. Alastair is married to Alison. They came to Vancouver Island from Ontario having spent time teaching in Japan. Alastair enjoys exploring the richness and beauty of the Island, meeting new friends, reading a good book, and plucking away on a banjo or guitar. He would be happy to visit and connect over a cup of tea or coffee; and can be reached at 250-949-6427 or ahunting@bc.anglican.ca
The Diocese of British Columbia acknowledges that for thousands of years the Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, and Kwakwaka’wakw peoples have walked gently on the unceded territories where we now live, work, worship, and play. We seek a new relationship with the first peoples here, one based in honour and respect, and we thank them for their hospitality.
